Types of Treatments @ Germaine de Capuccini:
1) Swedish Massage Therapy
This is the most common type of massage therapy. It is also known as Swedish massage or simply massage therapy.
Massage therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain. It has also been shown to be helpful in individuals with poor circulation. However, Swedish massage therapy can be very gentle and relaxing. If you've never had massage before, this is a good one to try first.
2) Ayurvedic Massage
Ayurveda is a natural health care system originating in India that incorporates massage, yoga, meditation and herbal remedies. Ayurvedic massage, also known as Abhyanga is usually performed by one or two therapists using a heated blend of herbal oils based on the ayurvedic system of humors.

3) Stone massage
A stone massage uses cold or water-heated stones to apply pressure and heat to the body. The hot stones used are commonly river stones which over time, have become extremely polished and smooth. As the stones are placed along the recipient's back, they help to retain heat which then deeply penetrates into the muscles, releasing tension.
4) Pinda Sveda Massage
During Pinda Sveda treatment small linen bags filled with a specially prepared mixture are applied locally to relieve the muscles. An additional major role in this therapy is played by the highly effective herbal oils mixture selected for the parts of the body where the treatment is required. The effect of the herbal extracts is to relieve the pain and to relax.

5) Vichy Therapy
Shower heads are strategically positioned over the body's chakra points. With the combination of warm water and an aquatic oil specific for vichy therapy the body is then lightly massaged. This relaxing treatment helps boost the immune system while increasing stamina and leaves you with a feeling of absolute calm.

6) Hamman Therapy
The Hammam massage has developed from the Islamic ritual cleansing in steam baths. It involves a combination of cleansing the body and massage.
7) Balneotherapy
Balneotherapy is the treatment of disease by bathing. It may involve hot or cold water, massage through moving water, relaxation or stimulation. Many mineral waters at spas are rich in particular minerals which can be absorbed through the skin.
